Hi everybody,
I am writing to ask you if you too have had the same problem with the connection to this type of machine (I am attaching photo1). I use an infrared port connected to a pc. I set gurux as Italian standard and started reading. I read in some other post that he had to create a new manufacture using the Italian standard settings but changing the machine name to EDi, but still I have the same problem.
Your settings look correct. It might be that you can't access the meter with public authentication. Have you received 16 bytes long key from the meter manufacturer?
Hi,
if I use the serial monitor and aim the probe with tv remote control in the monitor I see something. No it os metering company (electricity utilizer).
I attach photos of the error
I attach photos of the error in the hope that someone can help me, thanks.

I see that on the smart meter
I see that on the smart meter there is a ID of 8 number. How set the authentication on gurux?
Hi,
Hi,
You need to ask the key from the meter vendor. If you don't have the key, you can only access the meter with public authentication.
Try to set Logical address to 1 and the Physical address to 16. It works with some meters.

Mikko
Hi, still the same problem.
Hi, still the same problem.
Hi,
Hi,
Let the address type be Default. Now it's custom. Do you have any manual from the meter manufacturer that describes more from the meter?

Hi,
Hi,
It might be that the optical probe is disabled. Is this your own meter or the metering company (electricity utilizer)?

Hi,
Hi,
It might be that the optical probe is disabled or then your optical probe does not work with your meter.
