Hii

I'm using below Gurux python client to read meter data.

https://github.com/Gurux/Gurux.DLMS.Python

Now I want to write to the meter objects. Is all the object attributes of a meter is writable? How to check it?

Hi,

You can check it by calling getAccess. Something like this:

if obj.getAccess(ATTRIBUTE_INDEX) and int(AccessMode.WRITE) != 0:
self.write(obj, ATTRIBUTE_INDEX)

Hii ,
Thank you for your reply. Now I got to know how to check object's access rights.
How the write(obj, ATTRIBUTE_INDEX) performs SET operation from client to server? If we are passing only object and attribute number to this function, how the new value is set in the meter? Where it will take the parameter for value? I want to perform SET operation from client to server.

Hi,

It depends from the COSEM object what you want to write.

You just set new value and then write it.
For e.g. timezone to clock

clock = GXDLMSClock()
clock.timeZone = 60
self.write(clock, 3)
