Dear Sir,
I use GXDLMSDirector 8.2.2206.2301. When I connect to DLMS server from DLMS director as a ManagementClient (with pre-established association using authenticated encryption Suite0), there is a hdlc-level communication, but since then the client does not send any request (whether I click on Read button on the toolbar or Read in context menu of different objects).
The only thing that client does is periodic sending of "Keep Alive" packets (which are correctly decoded and answered by server).
The DLMS server is in early development so that our knowledge of DLMS, so most probably there is a bug there.
Could You advise me, why the Director does not send read requests?

When trying the same with Director as Public Client, it works fine.
Can you check what are the access rights? You can see them when you select example the clock object and select "Access rights". They should be Read or ReadWrite or attribute is not read.
Hello Mikko,
I am confused. Director says that there are no updates. I have also tried to uninstall/install it (Download Gurux DLMS Director for .Net 4.6.), but in the Libraries list there is still Gurux.DLMS 9.0.2208.101.
Is there some other way how to get 9.0.2008.0801 ?
Thank You.
That is strange. Update worked for me without problems.
I did remove my installation and re-installed it. The version is 9.0.2008.0801.
Did you install the version from the Gurux downloads? http://gurux.fi/Download
Update to the latest version. It should be 9.0.2208.1201. The version number was different in Community Edition and private edition. It's now updated to the same.
Hello Mikko,
since it is not possible to get latest version of Director from Your pages, we have succesfully build version from Git Hub:
.NET Framework 3.5SP1 3.5.30729.4926 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v3.5\
.NET Framework 4.0 4.8.04084 C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\
GXDLMSDirector 0.0.0.0 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\GXDLMSDirector.exe
Gurux.Common 8.4.2206.201 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.Common.dll
Gurux.DLMS.UI 9.0.2208.1201 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.DLMS.UI.dll
Gurux.DLMS 9.0.2208.1203 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.DLMS.dll
Gurux.Net 8.4.2206.201 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.Net.dll
Gurux.Serial 8.4.2206.201 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.Serial.dll
Gurux.Terminal 8.4.2206.201 \\DataServer\ProNekoho\PokornyO\Gurux\Gurux.Terminal.dll
The behaviour is all the same- no data are send upon read requests from Director.
The new version is released today. Because we don't have your meter and actually no one is not using association version #2, there was one check that caused that read is not done when AuthenticatedReadWrite was used.
I'll inform you as soon as the new version is released.
Hi,
Hi,
Can you check what are the access rights? You can see them when you select example the clock object and select "Access rights". They should be Read or ReadWrite or attribute is not read.
