Profile Generic Read by Range returned an error despite data exist on Itron SL7000

Gurux DLMS for ANSI C

Hi Mikko, good day.

I have with me an Itron SL7000 meter. Using correct parameters I can connect to it and read some data using Gurux DLMS Director. I managed to read the daily load profile by range. Then i try to read using ESP32. I can connect to it using ESP32, but when i try to read load profile by range, the code throws some errors. Here's the code that i use:

With that code, i get error 13 which is DLMS_ERROR_CODE_ACCESS_VIOLATED. Here's the trace :

Then i tried to directly read the buffer by commenting out the

 com_read(BASE(pgLoadProfile), 3);

Now the read process took roughly the same amount of time compared to Gurux DLMS Director, so i checked the trace and indeed, there are some data. The error is still present but different, now it's error 258 (DLMS_ERROR_CODE_INVALID_PARAMETER). Here's the trace:

Assuming the data read using esp32 succeeded, i expect some column to show null/nothing if there is no value, and show something if there is value, just like normal read when reading another meter. how can i get the profile generic data using ESP32 when i read by range?

Have you added the capture objects manually or read them from the meter? Now the first object is the data object with OBIS code 0.0.96.55.1.255.

With our customers' meters, that is a clock object with OBIS code 0.0.1.0.0.255.

The read fails because the client now sends the EPOCH time, not the octet string, as the meter expects.

You need to check that.

Hi Mikko, thanks for the answer. You're right, that is the first column in the profile. But i can get the data using Gurux Director. Regarding the capture objects, i first read them from the meter, consider this code:

Since it didnt return the data, i tried commenting it out and from the trace, i get the data but the data is not printed out. Instead, it throws error code 13

I think one solution would be to set the sort object to Clock object, that way it can operate just like the Gurux Director app. Can i set the sort object to Clock object (OBIS LN 0.0.1.0.0.255) ?
The other solution that i can think of is converting that generated epoch time to octetstring, is it possible?
