For single metering manufacturing company should same logical device name for all meters or different. as stated in blue book in clause no. 4.1.8.2 that

Each COSEM logical device can be identified by its unique COSEM LDN. The LDN is defined. as a string of up to 16 octets.
i am mentioning example in both way that which one is correct.

condition 1:-

METER METER SR. NO. LOGICAL DEVICE NAME

meter1 50005 ABC1234567
meter2 50006 ABC1234567
meter3 50007 ABC1234567

condition 2:-

METER METER SR. NO. LOGICAL DEVICE NAME

meter1 50005 ABC1234567
meter2 50006 ABC1234568
meter3 50007 ABC1234569

Hi,

This is not tested with DLMS certification tests, and meter manufacturers use different formats with LDN.

There is usually a flag ID and meter serial number combined to LDN. Some meter manufacturers are using ASCII values for serial number, and some are saving it as a hex.
