Push service setting over HDLC

Hello,

I am developing Smart Meter with one optical port (for local communication ) and other one port with RS485 communication to connect the meter to DCU.

Please help me to know how we can do push setup over HDLC because RS485 will work over HDLC only and as per regular practice we configure Push with TCP communication.

what would be the source and destination addresses in RS485 case while implementing Push service.

Regards,
Ravi

Hello,

Push source and destination addresses are not defined in DLMS standard, but for example India standard IS 15959 defines source address to 100. The server address is usually 1.

You can send push messages using HDLC in the same way as you send push messages with WRAPPER. You need only send those messages to the serial port and change the interface type from WRAPPER to DLMS.

BR,
Mikko
