OK. Your converter is using some other chipset. If you connect your converter to the Windows PC and select "Device management" and select your serial port from there. Select "Properties" and select "Details" tab. Then select second dropdown item. It's something like:
USB\VID_17A8&PID_0001\0001
Send this info to me and we'll add support for this chipset.
Send also a link if you know where you have order this Probe.
Your chipset is Prolific. It should be selected. Are you using source codes or packet?
Have you made any changes? Select Prolific as chipset. Let me know if you have problems.
We are also using OTG cable. I don't believe that it's an issue.
If you have source code, can you check what are vendor and product values?
Put breakpoint to isUsing-method in GXProfilic.java
I attach the debugger to the method isUsing() but nothing happen.
I also log the value but it is not printing, simply that method is not executing at all.
Then I apply debugger to findPorts() as onClick "Refresh" button this method is executing. But serial.getPorts() method gives nothing. The Post size is zero...
NO Serial Port Error
Hi,
You don't have a serial port on your PC. Change media type to TCP/IP if you try to connect with TCP/IP connection.

HI,
Yes, In your previous email you said that you have the source codes. Modify Gurux.Serial.Android reference for your local copy.
You can also start Gurux.Serial.Android and check vendor and product IDs in that.

Sometimes Android phone or tablet can't give enough power for the serial port.
Make sure that your serial port is available on the Android.

Hi,
But how to check that serial port is available on my Android device or not ??
No Serial Port Error
Hi,
If this is empty there are no USB devices connected.
UsbManager manager = (UsbManager) getSystemService(Context.USB_SERVICE);
manager.getAccessoryList();
