Each device belongs to one or more device groups. Users who have joined the device group via the user group can see the devices and device groups.

A device can be joined into device groups by selecting the "Devices" tab and selecting the devices that are assigned to the device group.

A user group can be joined into device groups by selecting the "User groups" tab and selecting the user groups that you want to associate with the device group.

By selecting an agent group, agents can be selected that read devices belonging to this agent group. This can be used, for example, when the devices are not publicly readable and it is desired that the agents belonging to this device group can be read only by agents assigned to this device group.
All agents can read the meters that belong to this device group if the device group is not part of any agent groups.
